How long does installation take from the day I approve the quote?
Most standard walk-in coolers and freezers are fully installed within 4 to 6 weeks of quote approval. Because WFE uses our own in-house crews — not subcontractors — we're not waiting on third-party availability.
Do I need a building permit for a walk-in cooler or freezer in Ontario?
It depends on your municipality and the size of the unit. Electrical and refrigeration permits almost always apply. WFE's design-build service includes full permit management.
Do you offer financing for commercial cold storage projects?
Yes. WFE can connect qualifying businesses with equipment financing options. Financing is available on most projects over $10,000.
What's the difference between WFE and a national equipment dealer?
National dealers ship you a flat-pack and hand you a manual. WFE designs, manufactures to spec, and installs using the same team that sold you the project.

What warranty comes with a WFE walk-in cooler or freezer?
WFE provides comprehensive labour warranty on all installations, plus manufacturer warranties on panels, compressors, and refrigeration components (typically 1–5 years).
Can you build CFIA or Health Canada compliant cold storage?
Yes. All WFE installations are built to Ontario Building Code and can be specified to meet CFIA, Health Canada, SQF, HACCP, and BRC audit requirements.
